A Night Out at the Marciano x GUESS Holiday Party: Why Getting Dressed & Getting Outside Still Matters

Last night, I finally stepped back into the world — and what better way to do it than at the Marciano x GUESS seasonal party hosted at Funke. It’s been a while since I’ve been out socially, but this event reminded me why I love what I do, why networking still matters, and why showing up for yourself is always worth it.

From the moment I walked in, the energy was warm, elevated, and intentional. Wife of the Party, the event designer, created the most sultry, jazzy, grown-woman vibe. Think: dim lighting, rich tones, and effortless glam. A live band played in the background, adding this cinematic feel that made everyone slow down and actually enjoy the moment.
On top of that, they had custom engraved takeaways, plus a dessert station that was honestly dangerous — everything was delicious. It felt luxurious without being loud, refined without being pretentious. The type of environment where creativity flows, conversations deepen, and connections spark naturally.
My Biggest Takeaway? Get Dressed & Get Outside.
If you’ve been in your bubble lately (like I have), this is your reminder:You don’t grow by staying tucked away. You grow by showing up.
Even if it’s been a while…Even if you’re tired…Even if you feel “out of the loop”…
Get dressed, get cute, and get outside — but be strategic about it.
I never go anywhere without intention. When I attend events, I’m always thinking:
• Who are the brand managers here?
• Who’s running the event team?
• Who’s capturing content?
• Who is someone I can genuinely connect with for future opportunities?
Because the truth is — relationships build brands. And proximity builds opportunity.

You Don’t Have to Be Everywhere — Just in the Right Rooms
Last night wasn’t just a party. It was a reminder that the rooms you choose matter.
Your networkYour exposureYour creativityYour inspirationYour next brand deal
…could all be tied to simply showing up.
So if you’ve been in hermit mode, in hustle mode, in “I’ll try again next year” mode — let this be your sign.Get back outside. Strategically. Intentionally. Beautifully.
Your next connection, your next client, or your next creative spark might be waiting in a room just like this one.
