Full Circle in the City: My First New York Fashion Week Back Since Motherhood

Stepping back into New York City for my first Fashion Week since having my kids was a full-circle moment in every way. The energy, the hustle, the grind—it all hit differently this time. It wasn’t just about attending the shows or networking; it was about reclaiming a part of myself that had been on pause while I dedicated the last few years to growing my family.

Having four kids and coming back to the city that shaped so much of my journey felt surreal. I was navigating the same streets, but as a completely different woman—one who had been stretched in ways she never imagined, one who had grown in patience, resilience, and determination. And now, bringing my kids along for the ride? That made it even more special.

Where It All Started: 1515 Broadway

One of the most emotional stops of my trip was visiting my old job at 1515 Broadway—TRL Studios. This was where it all began for me. Walking through those doors again reminded me of the **young woman who first arrived in this city, full of dreams and ambition. She had no idea what the future would hold, but she was determined to make something happen. And in many ways, she did.

From 1515 Broadway to Times Square—A Moment of Gratitude

From there, I made my way to Times Square—but this time, it wasn’t just to take in the lights or the energy of the city. This time, my face was up on a billboard. Seeing myself up there, larger than life, was a moment of pure gratitude and motivation. It wasn’t just about the billboard itself—it was about everything it represented. The late nights, the sacrifices, the push-through moments when I questioned if I was doing enough, if I was capable, if I could really balance it all.

But here’s the thing: sometimes, you have to clap for yourself. You have to remind yourself that you are worthy, that your dreams matter, and that no matter how many times life shifts, you are still in control of your narrative. I purchased this billboard for myself not just as a marketing move, but as a personal reminder to keep going. To hustle harder. To believe in my own vision.

To Every Girl Out There: Keep Going

If you’re reading this and you’re in a season where you feel like life is pulling you in every direction, let this be your reminder—you can still go after everything you want. It might look different, it might take longer, but your dreams don’t expire just because life evolves.

This trip was about more than Fashion Week. It was about coming back home to myself. And for that, I am beyond grateful.

To the little girl in me, to the women watching, and to every mother out there trying to balance it all—keep going. Your moment is coming.
